detailed response to Mark's detailed dream...
So this post is a response to the dream posted in the comment box on 5/3/10:
The dream seems to be about job/career choices you have made that are affecting the rest of your life. I'm unclear about whether you actually work for sanitation department in your waking life. If not, dreaming about being a sanitation worker has to do with collecting things, attitudes, people in your life who bring negativity. The job may be no longer useful for your growth. That your job became a military base means that it controls to much of your life. There are or will be conflicts @ work that force you into a position of protecting what's yours, even though you're not really a confrontational person (never been in combat).
You not making a clear decision about what you want or what you are doing is represented by the number two (2nd building). This may cause an explosive situation that knocks you off your feet/ makes you feel not grounded. You may land in a place that makes you feel emotionally or spiritually weakened (pink) but it's where you need to be (cadillac = caddy-a caddy is a way to keep something in its proper place. It's important to note that the explosion left you bruised and bloodied but nothing was broken. Whatever you go thru will not break you.
Watch out for the person who in the dream was bloodthirsty and giving you weapons. He wants instigate or encourage you to handle a particular conflict in a way that's out of character for you. The wife represents the fact that he is not alone in doing this. The fact that you were worried about your family says that while other folks in your life may be looking for conflict, you are focused on your values and the things that are important to you.
When you decide to leave (your job or whatever the particular situation is), there will be obstacles. You may come across someone who seems like they are out to block your path or even destroy you--- that person's animosity has to do with the tragedies in their own life (Haitians). It turns out that you have something to learn from that person, most likely spiritual. All the death surrounding you symbolizes many changes that are/will be happening. Once that person sees that you are open to learning and are different from other people surrounding you, his (her) attitude towards you shifts. (S)he's willing to help you and will no longer block your path. When you recognize and accept that whatever you are going thru is what you have to go thru--that there's no escape--that acceptance is what frees you.
On your journey, you must use a less obvious way to do things (subway instead of car). It's still easier for you than it may be for some people (since you are used to riding train). You are searching for connections (bridge) so that you can make sense of everything but even when you find connections you feel that your support system has been destroyed (burning buildings). All the folks talking about the end of the world (apocalypse) is related to big personal revelations that will change your life. Your revelations have to do with the overwhelming feeling that you must make a difference in the world. You realize that so many are suffering because they aren't fulfilling their purpose in life/God's intention for them. You sense that it makes them really miserable inside. Yet, most people stay in denial about the importance of this(seizures). They don't seek or acknowledge God's purpose for them so they suffer. You recognize that you are suffering as well and you are killing yourself by doing so. You see that this is the way to live your life. You realize it will be difficult but you know that this is part of your legacy. You also see that others may not be strong enough or willing to follow their purpose but you have no choice. You have to do it, whatever "it" is. This is how you will change your life.
Let me know how it all turns out.

I'm back....
So, I haven't posted in a while. And I could come up with a million excuses why that didn't happen but mostly it's been laziness and lack of inspiration. Someone shared with me a dream the other day that I didn't get so I may need some help. In this dream, she was taking a walk with her sweetie and ended up @ this party in Bensonhurst.
The party was full of young white guys (she's black), and at a certain point she noticed that her guy disappeared. She overheard one guy whispering to the other about having some fun with her. It didn't take a genius to figure out what that meant so she grabbed her coat and shoes and ran to the train. The nearest station wasn't a standard NYC subway stop but the name of her elementary school. When she went into the station, the train had one car with about 7 seats. Two of them had urine on them and a young woman who looked like Fergie (I assume the Black Eye Peas one, not the royal one) was in the seat next to the wet seats. There were two African American young women in the other set of seats. She asked to sit down and when they just looked at her she explained that she'd just escaped from a group of boys who were planning to run a train on her. One of the girls shrugged her shoulders and said "And?..." But when she explained that the boys were white, the girls moved over and became sympathetic and supportive. Any insights?
